Screens Guarantee

We will replace complete items up to 3 months after delivery if they have a manufacturing fault (normal wear and tear, or accidental damage not included). After this date we will replace parts only, up to 1 year from delivery of the goods. If you receive any item that is faulty, contact us by e-mail (quoting your order number) and supply a photo of the fault. We will be happy to provide an exchange or refund if a suitable replacement cannot be found once the photo has been received. PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT RESUPPLY OR REFUND ITEMS UNLESS A PHOTO HAS BEEN RECEIVED.

Damaged Screens

Our Screens need to be handled with care, and are carefully boxed to ensure they arrive with you in perfect condition. Your signature is required on delivery. IMPORTANT NOTICE: Please ensure that you carefully check the condition of the box on delivery for any damage and refuse delivery of boxes that have been damaged. IF THE SCREEN IS NOT SIGNED FOR AS DAMAGED WE WILL BE UNABLE TO REPLACE IT. If, when opened, the goods have a manufacturing fault, please inform us by email within 2 days of receipt and we will exchange or offer a full refund ON PRODUCTION OF A PHOTO OF THE FAULT. All returns must be made within 14 days. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Other Screen Returns

If you are unhappy with the goods for any other reason we will collect the goods and give you a full refund if you notify us within 7 days of delivery. Refunds will only be processed once the items have been collected. The goods must be for personal use only. Please note all goods will need to be returned IN PERFECT CONDITION IN THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING. However we reserve the right to recover the cost of delivery and return, at £38 per item, deducted from the refund amount. This is the actual carrier charge to us of delivery to you, collection and return to us. All returns must be made within 14 days. Your statutory rights are unaffected.

Business To Business

No refunds will be given to goods purchased for businesses as they are exempt for Consumer Contracts (formerly distance selling) regulations.

Privacy and Security

We take all security issues very seriously and accordingly use a high level of security in our payment section. Your personal details will only ever be used for the purposes of processing your order. Your details will never be passed to a third party. We process all online transactions through Stripe. Below we have detailed their security statements for your information and reassurance. We can also state that any information you provide to The Original Screen Company is used only for the purpose of your transaction, and will not be used for any marketing activities by ourselves or any third party.

Transaction Security

All transaction information passed between The Original Screen Company and Stripe systems is encrypted using 128-bit SSL certificates. No cardholder information is ever passed unencrypted and any messages sent to servers from Stripe are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. You can be completely assured that nothing you pass to Stripe servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information. Encryption and Data Storage Once on the Stripe systems, all sensitive data is secured using the same internationally recognised 256-bit encryption standards used by, among others, the US Government. The encryption keys are held on state-of-the-art, tamper proof systems in the same family as those used to secure VeriSign’s Global Root certificate, making them all but impossible to extract. The data held is extremely secure and Stripe are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so. System security Stripe systems are scanned quarterly by Trustwave which are an independent Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) and an Approved Scanning Vendor (ASV) for the payment card brands. Stripe is also audited annually under the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS) and is a fully approved Level 1 payment services provider, which is the highest level of compliance. Stripe are also active members of the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) that defines card industry global regulation.
